| Experience: | As a Special Education Teacher in our public school system, Lori saw a definite need to address the individualized interests of students, each with their own challenges; ranging from Mild Intellectual Disabilities to Cerebral Palsy, addressing both cultural and educational level issues in a tailored Individualized Education Plan. After receiving her Masters Degree in “Special Education” from Auburn University, Lori truly recognized the benefits of working with students in a one-on-one environment and she began working with children both as an Academic Tutor and as a Private Teacher for children of all ages. Lori has a true passion and she both challenges & encourages each student to reach their full academic potential, regardless of their challenges, which become her challenges. Lori will prove to you that all students “produce” with the additional motivation, guidance and researched based instruction that she can provide in a one-on-one teaching environment. Lori has been teaching for 8 years. She has received the distinction of being Highly Qualified and Certified for grades K-12 in the state of Georgia. Lori holds a bachlors dual degree from North Georgia College and State University in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and a minor in reading. |
