Experience
After earning a B.S. in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia, I went on to receive a master's in Global Public Health from the University of South Florida. Since I completed my graduate degree, I've been tutoring rural children with the "No Child Left Behind" program. I've also assisted adults with GED preparation. My experience covers many subject areas, including math for elementary school and middle school students and a wide range of sciences. I particularly enjoy general science, pre-algebra, and microbiology. I employ a lot of visuals and hands-on techniques in my teaching, so I work best with students who learn well in those manners and who enjoy subject relativity. I am committed to the belief that every student can learn with the right guidance and tools. I believe in community service and empowering others to succeed through their own determination and effort, and my tutoring is one way in which I can fulfill those goals. On my own time, I'm an avid reader and like to ride horses, spend time with my family, and work Sudoku puzzles.
